This recipe takes no time. Maybe 5 minutes in the kitchen, the rest is simmering the chai – seriously, so fast and easy. Add ingredients, simmer, strain, blend, and enjoy!
I make hot chocolate at least a few times a week. It’s nourishing to the body, especially on a cold morning or afternoon. This recipe calls for raw cacao which has many medicinal properties, including balancing hormones, giving you a nice energy boost, and is a fantastic source for magnesium. I always add in some boost – sometimes it’s all the superfoods listed below, and other times I only add in a few, say some medicinal mushrooms, or just maca and lucuma. It really just depends. But, these plants are powerful!
Where to buy them? I linked each one to a market where you can purchase them – also if you have a local health food store, you might find them there. At my local coop, they have these in the bulk section (besides the lucuma).
